A wonderful German Pils
I remember having your beer back in 1978 while in Germany, and I remember it being one of the better pilsner beers I had tasted to that point.
Here it is, years later, 2017, and I got the surprise of my life when I saw your Tannenzapfle in a liquor store here in New Jersey, United States.
I purchased a case of it, and 4 days later, it is almost all gone!
It is a wonderful example of a German Pils; a nice yellow-golden color, a lovely hop nose showing off your use of noble hops in your brew, and the taste is a nice balance of malt and hops, with a nice bitterness that shows itself off, but isn't overwhelming. Excellent beer!
Anyone reading this who lives in the US, likes great beer and can find this one, I wholeheartedly suggest you pick up enough to last a drought.... this is REALLY good beer!
